Scope Of Work
Los Alamitos High School’s original campus was constructed in the early 60’s with an existing decomposed granite track surface and natural grass field which was unusable during the winter months due to flooding, sending the sports teams to other campuses for practice and sporting events.
Working with the District and local community we were able to build consensus to provide Los Alamitos with a state-of-the-art project consisting of a synthetic all-weather track, synthetic field, 1,200 seat bleacher system and a Musco sports lighting project.
The new sports field was designed to accommodate football, soccer and lacrosse with provisions for long jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put and discus.
This marks a turning point in the District that allows the High School to play all of the school’s sports on the home field year-round.
The project was constructed using the Lease-Leaseback delivery method and delivered on time and on budget. Other amenities include new entrance gates, electronic scoreboard and an elaborate 90,000-gallon underground water-retention system.
