Scope Of Work

The Four Points by Sheraton on Promenade Place was the first hotel designed under Starwood Hotels new limited service concept. Ponder & Ponder, Architects worked closely with Starwood's design staff to help develop new brand design standards. Simultaneously, Ponder & Ponder, Architects met the hotel development and management team's desires for larger office space, secure "Pantry" store and outdoor pool with sun deck. The exterior design was also customized to anchor the new "La Cantera" upscale multi-use commercial development in the San Antonio suburbs. The exterior finishes and color palette of the hotel echo the warm hued stone and southwest colors of the region, and serve as the model for the offices and retail to follow. The stone and colors were carried into the sleek interior public spaces, creating a unified, cohesive design.
