Scope Of Work
The Hotel Indigo concept fuses the individuality of a boutique hotel with the advantages of a centralized reservations system. For the Atlanta Downtown Hotel Indigo, Ponder & Ponder, Architects converted the historic Carnegie Office building, named for the long absent Carnegie Library which once stood across the street, into an upscale urban hotel. The building interior was "gutted" to make room for luxury guestrooms and suites, a two story lobby, a full service restaurant and bar and a street level coffee shop. Third floor meeting rooms and well appointed fitness center offer views of the iconic Peachtree Street and Margaret Mitchell Square. Ponder & Ponder, Architects worked diligently with the Atlanta Historic Preservation officials to restore the buildings brick and terra cotta exterior.
The Hotel Indigo is scheduled to open in early 2011.
