An infusion clinic offers an ambulatory patient an alternative to receiving infusion therapy in a hospital setting.
Infusion drugs must be compounded in appropriate conditions to ensure sterility and stability. There must be optimum spaces for the process of patient assessment and admission, care management, trouble-shooting and treatment plan oversight. Specialized equipment must be used in the administration of infusion therapy that must be stored for optimum sterility and accessibility. And the infusion clinic should be soothing and calming to the patient.
