Scope Of Work
This was an existing suburban municipal complex with very tight site constraints, no room for material staging & trade parking and required relocation of several existing utilities. The site included on-going village administration, police & fire functions, pedestrian traffic, public traffic, village & emergency vehicles coming & going every day. The project needed to be constructed without encumbering normal and daily village operations & services, while maintaining normal traffic flow & parking not only for village employees & residents, but for all trade personnel & ongoing material deliveries.
The existing 34,000 sq. ft. police facility was demolished first, which was sandwiched between the existing village hall & fire station. Sheet piling was required and utilized to protect existing building foundations on either side of the new facility in order to allow excavation for the new underground parking facility and new foundation work. Construction was completed on time & under budget, without interruption to normal and daily village operations and services being impacted.
