Scope Of Work
The only structure to survive both the 1908 and 1973 Great Chelsea Fires is now home to a quality dining experience – Chelsea Station. The building formerly served as a fire station and bank before becoming vacant for quite some time. Upon learning the history of the structure, Chelsea Station owners had a strong desire to revitalize the space for the enjoyment of the entire community.
Reclaimed Heart Pine wood was used for the flooring, banquette seating and the bar front. With a limited quantity available, crews were especially mindful of being efficient as they simultaneously worked on these components. Another focal point is the suspended ceiling above the bar constructed with weathered, corrugated metal decking. To further harmonize with the ambience of the room, period lighting and LED lit decorative mason jars adorn the space.
This renovation also included a completely new HVAC system, upgrades to the fire suppression system and installation of commercial grade appliances for the full service kitchen.
