Scope Of Work
This 128,000-square-foot renovation brought new life to an old, iconic downtown Kansas City building. After almost 80 years of deferred maintence, the facility was ready for an upgrade. This project featured an eight-level tower and community room addition, a 10-floor exisiting facility renovation, and sitework renovation. JE Dunn self-performed much of the work, including demolition, concrete, carpentry, and masonry.
Interior renovations added overdue improvements to the office spaces, delivering adequate workstations for each police squad. The entryway was made to be wheelchair-accessible and the police boardroom received new technology that enables televised meetings on the city's government channel. Finally, the mechanical, eletrical, plumbing, computer, and telephone wiring systems were all replaced.
