Scope Of Work
The project consisted of building two separate gyms for two separate high schools in Haywood County, N.C. The buildings were slab on grade with load bearing masonry walls approximately 25 feet high. The roof construction consisted of steel roof trusses with metal deck, standing seam metal roof over the rigid insulation. The floors in the gyms were made from athletic hardwood and the restrooms were quarry tile. The project was unique because they were both constructed in extremely tight quarters on school grounds adjacent to the existing schools. Because the project was so close in proximity to student activities and classes, the project required extensive coordination between our superintendent and the school personnel.
