Scope Of Work
Stevenson Toyota in Jacksonville, N.C., decided to upgrade to the latest Toyota design plan to accommodate increasing vehicle sales and service demands. They also wanted to build the first LEED-certified Toyota automobile dealership and service center in the southeast. Parent company A M King assembled a team of design experts to complete site analysis services and address complex design and soil issues as well as the challenges presented by the LEED process. This led to the use of stone aggregate piers at building foundations, imported structural fill at all exterior paving areas, and innovative design solutions required for LEED certification. The 80,000 SF LEED-certified facility was completed within the required schedule and to the complete satisfaction of Toyota and Stevenson Automotive Group.
