Scope Of Work
The $1.4 million, 5,100-square-foot Eugene B. Casey Education and Events Center at the Patrick Henry National Memorial on Red Hill is a very special project for Jamerson-Lewis Construction. The new center will serve as an all-weather event facility for school groups, weddings, business meetings and lectures. It will complement the current educational mission at Red Hill to share the history of the founding of the United States of America by providing a space for additional artifacts and living history displays.
This building is a wood framed structure with a multipurpose space that will showcase exposed timberframe wood trusses and a beautiful tongue and groove wood ceiling. On the walls and porches, folks will not be able to miss the columns and beams built from harvested trees from this very property. The building envelope will amaze visitors with its stone foundation, rustic siding, and stained concrete patios. It’s also located just adjacent to the scatter garden of the Henry family, which is in extraordinary to those visiting. It is possibly one of the most favorite spots on the property, overlooking the fields towards the river below with unsurpassed views.
