Scope Of Work
The project scope will consist of a building expansion to the Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, VA. We will create a new booking area, loading dock, and food storage area. Sitework will consist of rerouting existing utilities, grading, paving and stormwater management features. The building addition is approximately 5,200 SF and will be constructed of CMU, steel and pre-engineered metal building components. The project will have architectural doors and frames, detention doors and frames, security fencing, detention grade security electronics, and a commercial walk-in refrigerator and freezer. There will be new MEP equipment, systems and fixtures and will be fully sprinkled. Work on the project is adjacent to an operational detention facility and involves relocating and re-configuring existing primary utilities which will require coordination with the jail staff and companies so as to not disrupt services.
