Scope Of Work
Built in two phases, and compliant to “green” building standards, this Performing and Visual Arts Center stands 3 stories tall and sits at the core of the campus adjacent to NSU’s University Center. It features a full production performance theatre with retractable seating for 400 patrons, a black box theatre, costume shops. Apart from the theatre, it holds liberal arts studios for photography, ceramics, printing, sculpture, painting and design on its second floor. Instrument and choral rehearsal studios, percussion and keyboard labs, and 8 sound-conditioned practice studios are located on the building’s third level.
As construction manager, Moss worked closely with the owner, designers and specialty consultants throughout the preconstruction planning phases and then proceeded to complete the new structure on time and within budget while maintaining full campus operations. The assignment represents one of 10 projects exceeding $150 million that Moss has built for this prestigious University over the past four years.
