Scope Of Work
Baker's scope on the SRNS Reactor Infills includes the filling of two reactors, P and R, located on the Savannah River Nuclear Site in Aiken, SC. Each reactor required roughly 98,000 cy of controlled low strength material for a total of 195,000 cy on the project. Initially the reactors underwent controlled demolition and stack removal prior to a methodical grout infill process meant to contain both sites. Baker operated with stringent quality procedures and implemented its Radiological Protection Plan for both setup and preparation phases of the project.
