Scope Of Work

UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Administrative Support Building is a complex of three buildings connected together by an expansion joint. Baker's total concrete package consisted of foundations, a heavily reinforced pan slab system, post-tensioned beams, columns, and shear walls. A significant achievement on the project was the placement of the large foundation mat. Baker placed a total of 17,500 cubic yards for the foundation in less than 24 hours at a rate of 730 cubic yards per hour. This is second only to the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas as the largest mat pour placed in the United States.
