Scope Of Work

The San Jose Earthquakes have found a new home in a European-style soccer stadium that lurches 75-feet skyward in sight of Interstate 880 and Highway 87. It’s no wonder that, with support from the tech leader that bears its name, the new Avaya Stadium is one of the first cloud-enabled stadium in professional sports. Offering an interactive fan experience, the Wi-Fi enabled stadium enables fans to use mobile devices to scan tickets, order concessions and view stats and information about their favorite players.

Open for play in March 2015, the $100-million privately funded, 18,000-seat venue stadium includes a canopy roof and the steepest-raked seating in the league in order to optimize viewing. Other features include what is purported to be the largest outdoor bar in North America on the stadium’s open north side, estimated at more than 2,000 square feet including 194 beer taps. The horseshoe stadium also has a two-acre fan zone and a double-sided video scoreboard.

The J.J. Albanese team completed more than 216,000 square feet of slab-on-grade and 63,000 square feet of architectural flatwork on the project. Other services include 7,000 lineal feet of curbs and bioswale curbs; 4,000 lineal feet of concrete mow bands; and 40,000 square feet of sub-slab work.
