Scope Of Work

Located on Fuller Street close to the Caltrain station, the 133-unit Fuller Street Apartments include sustainable energy-saving features. The new building is part of a series of projects for the Centennial community and will feature five stories of residential market-rate apartments with a two-level subterranean garage. Complete with a dog park, the ground floor includes a fitness center and a clubhouse and the first and fourth floors offer common open spaces for residents.

Designed in accordance with Redwood City’s Downtown Precise Plan building initiative, aiming to revitalize the El Camino corridor, the project is to be Green Point Rated and will feature solar hot water and photovoltaics. Slated for completion in spring 2016, the J.J. Albanese team performed many scopes of service for this project including demolition and mass excavation of more than 25,000 cubic yards (33,000 square feet/two-level subterranean parking). The structural concrete services included 3,100 cubic yards of mat slab foundation; 1,200 cubic yards of shotcrete; 67,000 square feet of elevated formwork and more than 20,000 square feet of wall formwork.
