Scope Of Work
This retrofit project involved providing additional track pathways and extending the trench for the flexible manufacturing system—an automated material handler—to extend access to two new CNC milling machines that increase operations capacity. We also poured new machinery foundations and pedestals around the trench, requiring several concrete pours in a tight work area.
The trenches require an extremely flat bottom so that the material handlers can travel seamlessly on the rails back and forth between the existing and new milling machines. We installed the trench bottom within the 1/8th inch tolerance so that the rails would align properly.
