Scope Of Work
Designed to reduce congestion, increase safety and provide additional amenities for travelers, the one million-square-foot renovation of the 25-year-old Tom Bradley International Terminal included a complete interior renovation, new in-line baggage handling system, and a new boarding gate to accommodate the 800-passenger Airbus 380. Located within Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the world’s sixth-busiest airport, the Tom Bradley International Terminal serves more than ten million passengers and 43,000 flights each year.
The renovation also included new signage and digital displays, modernized elevators and escalators, upgrades of communication and IT systems, removal and replacement of interior finishes in existing public areas and complete renovation of all public restrooms
The project was completed safely in multiple phases over 38 months, all while the terminal remained open and operational to international air travelers, airline employees and terminal and airport staff. The Tom Bradley International Terminal was the country’s first LEED Silver certified airport renovation.
