Scope Of Work

Construction Quality was imperative in the construction of Oak Ridge Park. To ensure that Lindenhurst Park District would receive the highest quality product; quality control and planning started in the early phases of design with Park District Representatives, Camosy and Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. and their consultants. Regular meetings with this group throughout the design phase and during the development of the drawings and specifications helped to ensure the team’s quality goals were properly establish and called for. Knowing that Oak Ridge Park was placed in a well established subdivision with an elementary school down the street, Camosy’s on site team took extra precautions to secure their work area and keep the surrounding spaces clean and clear as part of the Quality Control Approach in the field. A highlight of Oak Ridge Park would be the Water Spray Park and Splash Pad area. To take the safest approach to constructing a specialty feature that would host many young children; Camosy as the Construction Manager hired sub-contractors from the area that specialized in water parks and splash construction to verify the quality and safety of the final product for the children and parents of the almost 15,000 population of Lindenhurst and the surrounding cities and villages. Camosy was also able to staff the project with our own experienced Project Manager and Field Superintendent, and also self-performed the concrete, masonry and carpentry to ensure quality in those trade categories.

Oak Ridge Park won APEX Award from Great Lakes Contractors Association former (Lake County Contractors) in the Hybrid Category in December of 2016.
