Scope Of Work
82-year-old West Side Presbyterian Church included 47,000 square feet renovation reconstruction to stone church related buildings. sanctuary, chapel, auditorium other spaces were destroyed by fire 2002. included reconstruction Main Sanctuary selective demolition renovation to portions adjoining Christian Education .
required old world materials craftsmanship combined with modern methods techniques. Prior to demolition, a digital laser survey facades was obtained in order to achieve a digital record original elements. Millions data points were collected with a digital 3D laser scanner in order to re-create drawings for specific, complex elements destroyed by fire.
Every major milestone was celebrated with congregation local community, from public topping out corner stone laying ceremonies, to final Easter celebration. Monthly photos were shared with congregation along with a monthly update that were posted church newsletters on church website.
