Scope Of Work
Sundt is currently working on the new Water Reclamation Facility for Salt Lake City’s Department of Public Utilities. Located in northern Salt Lake City, this critical facility will serve more than 200,000 customers over a 110-square-mile service area when it is complete in 2024. The $528 million facility is one of the largest public works projects ever undertaken by Salt Lake City.
In addition to meeting all current building and seismic codes, the new treatment plant includes the addition of a biological nutrient removal (BNR) process designed to reduce phosphorus in the wastewater to comply with current and anticipated future regulations in a sustainable and efficient manner. This facility is vital to the growing Salt Lake City community and will provide reliable and cost-effective treatment solutions for decades to come.
