The firm of Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. was established in 1972 by founder Willis A. Smith, with a focus on commercial and industrial facility construction.  David E. Sessions joined the company in 1988, became an owner in 1989, becoming CEO and President in 1999. John LaCivita joined the company in 1996, became an owner in 2004 and is the Executive Vice President. Four additional senior project managers have recently joined the ownership group and they are project executives:  Taylor Aultman, Nathan Carr, David Otterness and Brett Raymaker. The continued growth history represents a conservative and focused increase in annual construction volume over these 46 years which has brought the firm to our current status as the largest locally owned construction firm in Southwest Florida.  

Headquartered in Lakewood Ranch, in a sustainable, USGBC LEED Gold facility, the firm provides quality planning, construction and related services to a variety of clients through our staff of talented construction professionals. Major services offered include: Construction Management, GeneralContracting, Design/Build, Sustainability Analysis and Consulting Services for Site Evaluation and/or Selection, Budget and Constructability Analysis, Cost Consulting and Scheduling.
