Scope Of Work
As the successful low bidder, Branch and Associates managed the construction of a primary structure that contains the high school and middle school auditorium, and various athletic and arts program spaces, plus a free-standing structure that houses the career education programs. In addition to the new modern academic space, the new facility includes two indoor gymnasiums, locker rooms, coaches’ offices, multi-purpose rooms, weight rooms, health classrooms, and spectator seating in the high school competition gym. The site was developed to include a baseball field, softball field, competition football/soccer field with a surrounding track and a 3,500-seat stadium, 6 tennis courts and athletic practice fields. Located atop the remote Rose Ridge Mountain crest, this extremely challenging, mountainous site required an enormous total of 787,000 cubic yards of earthwork. The new state-of-the-art Ridgeview school consolidates the former Clintwood, Ervinton, and Haysi High Schools and creates a new middle school for the County.
