Scope Of Work
Atlas / Pellizzari has once again teamed up with Rodan Builders to construct four new buildings for Albany Unified School District across the street from the existing Middle School. The project consists of all new Services, Site Work, Electrical Systems, Energy-Efficient Lighting, NLight Controls, Fire Alarm, Voice / Data, Paging / Intercom, and Audio / Visual Systems. Additionally, an 80KW Rooftop Photovoltaic System is being installed to keep energy costs down and the carbon footprint for these new energy efficient buildings. One of the unique challenges was due to the open ceiling design which resulted in all infrastructure coming from underground. This required additional layout and pre-planning, which is not typical like traditional building construction that allows for access above the ceilings.
