KC Construction Co.

Incorporated in 1983 in Pennsylvania, under the name KC Engineering & Construction Co., performing primarily engineering and construction management for the private sector. KC performed residential construction, civil engineering and civil construction management. KC entered the public bidding market in 1987, successfully completing school additions, office renovations, municipal buildings, and libraries. In the mid 90's, KC began acquiring heavy construction equipment and moved into heavy civil construction. The work included mass transit maintenance facilities, water resources improvements, earth dams, landfills, wastewater treatment facilities, recreational facilities and highway projects.

It has been KC's business plan to seek out those projects that present a challenge to the contractor. A review of KC's project portfolio will disclose a diversity of work that is unique in the industry. They have accomplished projects with rigid timelines, unusual logistical challenges, unconventional materials, and maintenance of existing operations. KC's estimating and management team includes 3 degreed engineers, 2 which are Registered Professional Engineers and a field management staff averaging over 20 years of construction experience each. Project Scheduling is accomplished using the latest CPM scheduling software. Estimating is accomplished using digitizing software for quantity estimates and the latest software for cost analysis and control. In addition to lump sum and unit price bids, KC also offers "best value" and "design/build" proposals on larger, more complex projects.

Over the last 25 years, KC has grown from a 3 person consulting firm to a 90 person heavy construction company.
