Like many business owners I started with an idea that grew into its
own entity and by that I mean, it prospered and developed a look and
feel all of its own. Starting any business has its challenges but
it’s how we overcome those challenges that separate successful
companies from those that struggle and fall by the way side. Owners
have to make easy decisions as well as bad; they look to the future as
well as the past in order to steer their companies into safe waters.
Myself, like many excavation contractors, started out with humble
beginning. In my case it was a single John Deere backhoe and a desire
to see what we could accomplish at the end of the day. I learned from
the people I hired and relied on common since and good decision
making. I have changed the look of the company three times in my
career and by that I mean the type of work we consider our
bread-and-butter. First housing excavations, then residential
development, and now a large amount of commercial development while
still keeping a foot hold in residential development. The combined
years of experience my staff boasts has provided our customers with
the up most quality and effort expected when being hired for a project.
