Scope Of Work
This was a takeover project from EDGE development that went out of business. The project, which was in the framing stage, included a two-story structural steel building with metal deck and concrete floors, lab classrooms for the campus, two elevators, exterior Trespa Panels and plaster, landscaping, parking lot development to the surrounding of the building, two roof top HVAC systems connected to a cooling tower located outside of the building and connected via chilled water pipes. There were several existing problems when Amoroso took over the project, the major one being the structural steel sagging which caused the horizontal lines to be out of control, the concrete floor were out of levelness and the roof lines did not have the clearances from the curtain walls as a result of this steel issue. The exterior water proofing membrane had to be replaced as a result of sitting in the sun for more than six months due to a failure of the previous contractor.
