Scope Of Work
The design of the New Residence Hall remains consistent with the Mediterranean style of architecture popular in Southern California in the 1920s and 1930s, a style which earned Scripps College the reputation of being one of the most beautiful campuses in the Nation.
The completion of this 38,700 sq.-ft. building provides additional space for students currently living in off-campus housing, reduces the number of double and triple occupancy rooms, and provides flexibility to respond to the significant increase in the number of applicants to Scripps. The project includes student rooms and suites, a computer room, kitchen, recreation room, living room and courtyards. With low-flow water fixtures, high-efficiency lighting, Energy Star appliances and drip irrigation, this project is achieved a LEED Gold rating
