Scope Of Work
Ledcor completed its second project in New York for longtime client Costco, located in Queens. Ledcor delivered the project within a very tight schedule and overcame numerous obstacles to ensure the warehouse was ready for the grand opening event.
The project was built in the basement of a one-block long, five-story building. Construction took place on a floating structural slab located well below the water table. Constant water pumping was necessary to keep the slab dry. Access into the building was also a challenge, as construction materials and equipment had to be delivered through a small opening in the masonry wall off the parking lot ramp.
