Project Information

Project Location:
Denver, CO
Status:
Completed
Structure Type:
Education (K-12)

Scope Of Work

MYC performed upgrades to the science rooms, added receptacles in the hallways, made fire life safety code upgrades, renovated the black box theatre room, and added new boilers. The four science rooms that were upgraded received finish upgrades and several safety upgrades that are necessary in science rooms; including eye wash stations, fire blankets, goggle sanitizing cabinets, fire extinguishers, chemical storage cabinets, and first aid kits.

In the hallways throughout the school MYC added receptacles to supply power to mobile swamp coolers that are needed by the school due to insufficient air conditioning. Also added to the hallways were numerous exit signs and fire alarm strobes to bring the building up to fire life safety code, and handrails at the hallways with sloped floors. The theatre classroom received long overdue upgrades including new lighting grid, perimeter curtains, theatre lights, a new floor, and the room was painted completely black. MYC was also able to use the leftover fabric from the curtains to provide a free window valance to DPS. In the sub-basement of the school, MYC removed three antiquated boilers and installed four new boilers to provide the school with sufficient heating during the cold winter months along with improved energy efficiency.
