David joined MYC in 1995 and has led MYC in steady growth with his more than 32 years of industry experience. David is the President of MYC and a Principal-in-Charge on our projects. David earned his B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, and playing golf.

Mike has more than 26 years of experience in accounting and programming and has been with MYC for more than 7 years. Mike is a Vice President and CFO of MYC. He earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Western State College. Mike enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, and traveling.

Shane has been with MYC for more than 20 years and has more than 31 years of experience in the refrigeration industry. Shane manages all refrigeration service work on our projects and has his Certificate of Refrigeration from the Denver Institute of Technology. He enjoys spending time with his family, building street rods, golfing, car shows, camping, and four-wheeling.

Garrett has more than 10 years of industry experience and has been with MYC for more than 9 years. He is our Chief Estimator, leading a team of estimators. He earned his B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Garrett is originally from Hawaii and enjoys skiing, hiking, and playing golf.

Chris joined MYC in 2017. He earned his B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Chris enjoys hiking, playing baseball, and spending time with his family and friends.

Derek has more than 21 years of industry experience and has been with MYC for the past 17 years. Derek is a Project Manager on our projects. He earned his B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology from Montana State University. Derek enjoys time with his family, fishing, hiking, skiing, and camping in the mountains as well as cooking and gardening with his wife.

Duane has 11 years of experience in construction and has been with MYC for 7 years. He has a B.S. in Construction Management from Ferris State University and has a wide range of project experience including retail, fuel stations, government and civil, and fire stations. Duane enjoys spending time outdoors riding dirt bikes, hunting, and snorkeling.

Lance has more than 28 years of safety management experience. He has been with MYC for more than three years and has improved MYC’s safety ratings. He has his Construction Safety Management Certificate from the University of California San Diego and Risk Manager Public Entity (RMPE) Certification. Lance enjoys backpacking, camping, gold prospecting, and woodworking.

Layla has been a Project Coordinator at MYC for more than 19 years. She is responsible for contract administration, progress billings, lien waivers, and insurances including other items pertaining to contracts and compliance of I-9 policies for our projects. Layla originates from upstate New York and enjoys making jewelry, roller blading, and playing the saxophone.

Ryan has more than 10 years of industry experience and has been with MYC for the past 7 years. He earned his B.S. in Construction Management from South Dakota State University. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, watching the Denver Broncos, and going to movies.

Steve has more than 24 years of industry experience and has been with MYC for the past 19 years. Steve is a Project Manager on our projects. He earned his B.S. in Industrial Construction Management from Colorado State University. Steve enjoys running, water skiing, camping, and swimming with his family.

Zach has 16 years of construction experience and has been working with Mark Young Construction since he graduated from Colorado State University in 2008 with a B.S. degree in Construction Management. He works on a variety of projects (Education, Industrial, Retail, Renovation, New Build, and Tenant Improvement) and has successfully managed numerous projects from start to finish. He loves spending time with his family wherever the next adventure takes him. He loves anything outdoors, traveling, woodworking, fun facts, and adventure of the unknown.

A.J. has more than 4 years of experience with MYC. A.J. is a Project Superintendent and earned his B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University. He enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and large immediate and extended families, watching NFL football and MLB baseball, and listening to music.

Aaron has more than 19 years of industry experience and has been with MYC for the past 15 years. He earned his B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and extended family, the Colorado outdoors, live music, and temperatures in the mid-70s.

Dave joined the Mark Young Team in 2021 with 8 years of Commercial TI and Retail Remodeling experience. Originally from the Boston Area, he earned a B.A in Business Management from Bentley University. As a Superintendent performing open store remodels, his focus is on maintaining a safe and clean environment for patrons, while mitigating any impacts to the Client’s daily operations. He is a Traveling Man, having worked throughout the western states of Colorado, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska. Dave enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and working on his forested property, which overlooks Hurt Canyon in Pagosa Springs, CO. 

Justin has more than 25 years of field experience in both commercial and residential construction. He has a can-do hands on approach to start and finish strong on projects big or small. Justin enjoys riding his Harley and playing with his dogs.

Raghul has been with MYC since his graduation from the Colorado State University. He graduated in 2018 with a Master of Science degree in Construction Management and is certified as a LEED Green Associate. Raghul started assisting with preconstruction and estimating and is now a Project Superintendent. He enjoys hiking, movies and outdoors.

Rich has more than 27 years of industry experience and has been with MYC for the past 15 years. Rich is a Project Manager and Superintendent on our projects. He won Superintendent of the Year in 2011 and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Rich enjoys fishing, camping, and vacationing.
