Peter G. Kasnet, Inc.

Peter G. Kasnet, Inc. was founded in 1972 by Peter Kasnet, then a student at the University of New Hampshire.  Since then, the company has since grown in size and reputation for nearly 40 years, completing thousands of projects in the Seacoast area.

Peter G. Kasnet, Inc. specializes in both residential and commercial highly technical challenging projects, including custom homes and offices.  Peter Kasnet has an engineering background and experience in plumbing, electrical, and structural engineering, while key employees have significant knowledge of all building trades.  This means that Peter G. Kasnet, Inc. can be directly involved in all aspects of construction from conception to completion.

Peter G. Kasnet, Inc. has been working on innovative and unique projects for decades.  They designed and built several passive solar homes in the late 1970's.  Through the oil crises of the late 1970's and into the 1980's, the company constructed super insulated homes designed for low energy consumption.  They also installed some of the earliest groundwater heat pumps.

More recently, Peter G. Kasnet, Inc. has been recognized for work on several significant projects in the area.  A commercial/industrial building in Portsmouth recieved two 1995 Master Builder Awards from Star Building Systems for Best Multi-Story Building and Best of New England.  That project was also named 1995 Building of the Year by the Systems Builders Association.

The company was recognized by the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for a 1999 renovation of a home in New Castle.  Portsmouth Advocates honored the company with the 1999 Residential Renovation award for its work on a restoration and renovation of a home in Portsmouth's historic district.

Also in 1999, one of the company's most significant undertakings, the renovation and addition to the historic Lea House Ocean Estate in North Hampton, was featured on HGTV.

As Peter G. Kasnet, Inc. looks to the future, they continue to tackle complex projects and work closely with architects and owners to construct unique homes and businesses throughout the Seacoast area.
