Scope Of Work
Bronx Mental Health Redevelopment and Children’s Center campus for the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), Bronx Psychiatric Center, and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY). The campus has state-of-the-art facilities with LEED Silver certification, more functional inter-connectivity, and a more compact healthcare campus for improved efficiency – all with the goal of better providing mental health services to the public.
• A new 48,385 s.f. Central Services Academic Building consists of classrooms, faculty offices, a 4,120 s.f. commercial kitchen, a loading dock with receiving and storage areas, meeting rooms, locker rooms as well as a narcotics security vault. This building incorporates a 4,806 s.f. Central Utility plant which is the source supplying itself as well as the two other buildings with the necessary infrastructure for heating and cooling the entire $400 million campus facility.
• A new 138,400 s.f. new Children’s Center. This two story building contains classrooms, faculty offices, a 4,335 s.f. gymnasium, a 114 seat auditorium, a 3,620 c.f. pool, 86 resident rooms, seclusion rooms, lockers rooms, laundry facilities, medical treatment areas, dining areas, as well as multi-purpose rooms for campus functions and conference rooms.
