Scope Of Work
The South Regional Library established the precedent for the design of both the North Regional Library and the East Regional Library in an effort to support the ’s long-term goal of providing the with crucial literacy resources. Similarly to its predecessor, the North Regional Library is also a one-story building clad in masonry, precast panels, and glass. Clerestory glazing systems contribute to natural daylighting in the reading rooms and are just one example of the sustainable practices outlined by the USGBC system implemented into the design. Wood ceilings, concrete countertops, and stained concrete floors double as unique architectural features as well as environmental friendly aesthetic solutions.
