Scope Of Work
Harper was selected by Greenville County Schools to construct the Rudolph Gordon K-8 facility located in Simpsonville, SC. It is the first public school in Greenville County to offer K-8 and is designed with a projects-based learning environment. The construction included an addition of a 12,000 SF brand kindergarten and first grade wing to the existing elementary school. An additional 140,000 SF building was constructed to host fifth through eighth grade classrooms. The school has also received various site improvements and three athletic fields. The addition includes a commercial kitchen, a state-of-the-art gym, and two major labs filled with equipment similar to advanced manufacturing businesses. Due to unexpected growth in the district, Harper and the Greenville County School District created a plan to accelerate the completion of the kindergarten wing by one year.
