Scope Of Work

This beautiful Tuscan style waterfront home was built as a vacation property for this family, and ultimately as a place for them to retire. Sitting right on the lake in Applehead Island, every room on the backside of the house has beautiful windows overlooking the lake views. 

The challenge of this project for the Jenkins design team was two-fold. The lot itself posed a challenge considering it is right on the water with a downward sloping landscape. The clients not only wanted a beautiful home but also a pool with a luxurious outdoor living space and a boat dock down on the water. The size of the lot and the location of the water made it critical to start with the boat dock. Next was to ensure that everything after that was placed precisely on the lot. 

The clients lived out of town and traveled quite a bit during design and construction. This made communication critical to the success of this challenging project. However, at the end of the day, this Applehead Island home was stunning. The clients were overjoyed with their new Austin lakehouse.
