Scope Of Work

Situation

Temple University sought to upgrade their existing laboratories and classroom space to state of the art teaching and research spaces. JJ White was brought in to perform the general construction renovations.

Challenges

The crew faced difficulties transporting material due limited vertical transportation options. The crew had to find other ways to transport materials between each floor. While completing this renovation, everyday operations were to remain uninterrupted, creating issues for material deliveries.

Solutions

The project was split in to 3 phases , and the crew developed a tight coordination with Temple University’s Faculty and Staff to allow for a smooth work flow without inconveniencing anyone. JJ White leaders coordinated material deliveries with vendors and Temple University leadership to ensure the unimpeded flow of University traffic around the building.

Results

The project was completed ahead of schedule, and under budget with no accidents or incidents reported. Temple University students can now enjoy their newly renovated research and teaching facilities sooner than planned
