Tim Thomas founded Double T Contracting, Inc in August of 1992 and has more than 45 years of construction experience. As president and CEO, Tim oversees all company business operations as well as the overall construction management process ensuring that day-to-day operations meet or exceed the expectations of our clients. Tim also oversees preparation of the annual business plan, budgeting, risk management, financial reporting, and long range strategic planning for the company, all with emphasis on maximizing company profits.
Tim has been an active member of Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) since 1999. Tim’s most notable contributions to the association is his position as Construction Coordinator for BOMA’s Community Services Committee. Since this committee’s inception in 1999, Mr. Thomas has organized several construction-based community service projects benefitting some of Atlanta’s most charitable organizations such as Hillside, Senior Citizens of Atlanta, HomeAid, Tapestry Youth Ministries, The Genesis Shelter, and many others./
Mr. Thomas’ passion for community service extends well beyond participation in these professional organizations. Tim served as a board member of Gilda’s Club Atlanta for two years and had served on the board of directors for The Cancer Support Community (affiliated with Northside Hospital). In August 2010, Tim not only donated his time but also his company’s resources to help The Cancer Support Community negotiate, plan, design, and execute the expansion of their now 8,000 SF facility, thus expanding and improving the quality of services CSC provides to their members.
Tim Thomas received his B. S. degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida, Gainesville where he graduated in 1990 with high honors and was a Dean’s List recipient for four consecutive semesters. Tim enjoys a rewarding and productive personal life and he has been married to Kim, the love of his life, since 1990. Mr. Thomas’ core beliefs are based on honesty, integrity, commitment, and charity.
