Scope Of Work
Construction is currently underway for the City of Fort Collins’ new neighborhood park. The 5.3-acre park will be located near the site of the former Great Western Sugar Factory which inspired both the naming and design of the park. The park includes multiuse turf fields, restrooms, a pollinator garden, and a custom-made 12′ tall beet play structure. Sliding benches that are meant to mimic the old train cars that used to transport the beets are also part of this unique design. This park playfully takes on the history of the site and what the sugar beet industry once meant for the surrounding neighborhoods.
