Scope Of Work
The project consisted of the full reconstruction and widening of Beach Blvd from San Pablo Rd to Penman Rd, taking it from four lanes to six. This required replacing the existing drawbridge, constructed in the early 1940s, with 2,300 LF twin bridges at a 65-ft clearance to allow boat and vehicular traffic to both travel unimpeded. The project also included surcharge embankment, MSE wall construction, subsoil excavation, utility relocation, drainage, signalization upgrading, project signing, lighting, fore main and water main installation, and landscaping.
