Scope Of Work
Construction of a new pre-treatment facility for the pretreatment of waste before it goes through the DAF system and BNR. This allowed the 6.3 MGD to run more efficiently. The project included a 1.5 million gallon bolted stainless steel EQ tank with a coarse bubble diffuser system, (3) 75hp surface aerators, a leveling transducer, DO probe, which supplies all data to the HMI in the controls room by way of communications/integration. A blower building was added to house the (3) blowers that feed the diffuser system in one side, while the other side houses the VFD’s and MCC to control all the equipment. Before construction started, GSE had to relocate a 15KV high voltage line, an existing ammonia tank, and storage facility. Feeding the new EQ tank is a new 24” stainless supply line. GSE installed (1) 24” pneumatic valve and (1) 18” pneumatic valve to divert waste from existing (now over flow) EQ tank to the new EQ tank. GSE added (3) new 8” KGV to the existing tank to feed the DAF system and a (1) 50HP split case centrifugal pump to the (3) existing at the waste well to feed the entire system.
