Scope Of Work
Design Build Project converting waste into approx. one Megawatt of energy. GSE installed the Pure Process System, which included: Four Bolted Steel Tanks used for Equalization, Calamity, Overflow and the Anaerobic Digester; Three Gas Scrubber Units and two 0.5 Megawatt Cogeneration Engines. Additional work included underground/aboveground piping; structural concrete slabs and structures; installation of a Pre-Engineering Metal Building that housed the Control Room and Lab for the new process. Provided and installed electrical and controls required to operate the new process. GSE tapped the waste stream from the plant before entering the city’s sanitary sewer system by installing a diversion manhole. Sewage was diverted to the process equipment, gas was created, scrubbed, then burned by the Co-Gen Engines to create electricity or burned by gas flare. The electricity was used by the
plant or transferred to the power grid. The used sewage liquids were sent to the sanitary sewer system and solids were emptied into a buk disposal bin.
