2019, Boh Bros. traveled to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to as paving contractor on $64 million rehabilitation effort for Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Boh Bros.’ scope included nearly $16 million in concrete paving involved both replacement North Runway sections Taxiway B. A strict timeframe made for a relentless pace . When broke ground, for instance, milling machines ran 24/7 for 130 hours, stopping only for fuel crew changes.
North Runway for Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport was completely shut-down with a re-opening date set for mid-November. Boh crews met challenges runway was back operation within required timeframe. all, Boh Bros. placed over 105,000 square yards 6-inch P306 concrete more than 88,300 square yards 17-inch P501 concrete.
