Scope Of Work
Scope of Work: Demolished old tar and gravel roof, installed new insulation and PVC membrane.
Products: PVC Membrane – Duro-Last ‘Shingle-Ply’
Details: Harbor Point at Centerville has a unique roof design that made for the perfect application of a unique product. The roof is constructed with a slope that is too low for shingles to perform consistently but is much steeper than a traditional ‘flat’ roof. The roof, which is visible from the ground, was originally covered with a tar and gravel system that was eventually overlaid with EPDM (rubber) and brought down the look of the entire facility. The facility owners turned to Kidd-Luukko Corp. when the leaks from the two layers of old roofing became too much to keep up with. Our solution was Duro-Last’s ‘Shingle-Ply’ PVC membrane. We completely removed the old layers of roofing and installed new rigid insulation and the ‘Shingle-Ply’ membrane to give the roof a much needed face-lift. The new roof system provides the peace of mind of a PVC membrane roof with the look of architectural asphalt shingles.
