Calex Engineering Company started in February, 1975 as an earthwork subcontractor that specialized in small scale demolition and site work. The fleet of equipment in the mid 70's consisted of a skip loader and a ten wheeled dump truck.

Four decades later, Calex has transformed into the leading temporary shoring and earthwork specialty subcontractor in the Los Angeles Basin.We install hundreds of thousands of square feet of shoring and export millions of cubic yards of soil per year. Our fleet consists of new state of the art drilling rigs, tieback rigs, excavators, loaders and support equipment.

Calex's elite status has materialized through hard work, dedication to solid engineering, excellent work practice as well as the confidence to communicate transparently to our clients from conceptual design through basement subgrade turnover.
