Scope Of Work
The Peoria City Link Transit Center is a bus transfer facility located in downtown Peoria, Illinois. It was constructed to provide a safe, organized area for passengers to transfer busses. The facility consists of an 18-bus terminal, a 5,500 SF Passenger Building that has a waiting area for passengers, secure ticket windows, and office space for Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (GPMTD). A separate, adjacent 7,500 SF building is a Day-care Building, leased by the YMCA. Including day-care at the bus transfer site allows passengers using the bus lines to leave their children in an affordable, easily accessible location. The GPMTD, YMCA and state and federal officials achieved this through a group effort.
Federal funding was provided. CPMI worked with the GPMTD, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Federal Transit Administration on the project. CPMI prepared the Division 1 bidding and instructions, bid forms, summary of work to ensure all required state and federal information was included. A vendor checklist was provided to ensure contractors included all necessary former with their bid.
