Christine Kendall purchased H.E. Callahan in early November of 2015. She had been a project manager with the company for 7 years, managing projects such as the Androscoggin Hospice House, the St. Mary's Medical Office Building, and the W.G. Mallett School. She left H.E. Callahan to work at MaineGeneral Medical Center during the construction of the Alfond Center for Health. After construction was completed, she took a brief position as the COO for Dirigo Capital Advisors. She then started her own Commercial Property Management company (GMK Construction & Property Management Services, Inc)with offices in Augusta, which will take on the H.E. Callahan name. The primary focus in Augusta is the complete conversion of the old Augusta hospital, now called the Ballard Center, to 250,000 sf. of Commercial Office Space. Christine has 20 years of construction experience and a particular expertise with contracting delivery methods. Christine received a BS in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,is LEED Certified and is the former co-owner and Editor in Chief of Kayak Magazine.
