H.E. Callahan Constr. Co.

Christine Kendall purchased H.E. Callahan in early November of 2015. She had been a project manager with the company for 7 years, managing projects such as the Androscoggin Hospice House, the St. Mary's Medical Office Building, and the W.G. Mallett School. She left H.E. Callahan to work at MaineGeneral Medical Center during the construction of the Alfond Center for Health. After construction was completed, she took a brief position as the COO for Dirigo Capital Advisors. She then started her own Commercial Property Management company (GMK Construction & Property Management Services, Inc)with offices in Augusta, which will take on the H.E. Callahan name. The primary focus in Augusta is the complete conversion of the old Augusta hospital, now called the Ballard Center, to 250,000 sf. of Commercial Office Space. Christine has 20 years of construction experience and a particular expertise with contracting delivery methods. Christine received a BS in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,is LEED Certified and is the former co-owner and Editor in Chief of Kayak Magazine.

John Blanchard has been with H.E. Callahan Construction Co. 1993. He assumed the role of VP of Operations in 1994. John has been active in the construction industry for over 30 years with leadership roles in many complex construction projects the State of Maine. Currently, he is involved in project management, estimating, operations management and consulting. As a consultant, he has performed conceptual estimating, value engineering, and design-build services for both owners and . With his vast knowledge of current means and methods of construction practices, John works closely with the project team to ensure the projects follow the highest quality standards while using the newest technology.

David Cushman returned to H.E. Callahan in December of 2017, after previously being with the company for over 17 years managing civil, hydro, healthcare, commercial and industrial projects throughout Maine and New Hampshire. David had left the organization in 2012 to pursue his MBA at Boston University and joined Liberty Mutual Insurance for three year gaining experience in Commercial Insurance, Risk Management, Surety Underwriting, and Operations. David oversees the operations of the H.E. Callahan field staff. 

Jonica was hired as a bookkeeper in 2013 and was quickly promoted to her current position. An accounting professional with 28 years of finance experience with payroll, human resources, month end and year end, auditing, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. A graduate of Mid State College in Auburn and a member of CFMA, Construction Financial Management Association.
