Scope Of Work
Berklee College of Music is home to 4,447 students - some of the most creative young musicians in the world and 564 faculty members which include some of the world’s most renowned musicians. The college choose Wise Construction to upgrade one of their classroom buildings in order to continue attracting this caliber of faculty and students and provide the best facility possible. The 13,500 SF building, located on Boylston Street near Fenway Park, required many upgrades inside and out. Multi purpose rooms were converted into soundproof classrooms, complete with state-of-the-art AV equipment. We also constructed a movement studio with specialized flooring for yoga and dance, a band room, and several soundproof music practice rooms. On the exterior of the building, Wise repaired several elements, including masonry and all new extremely large, specialty windows. A new rooftop air handling unit was installed including all associated duct work on all floors of the exterior.
