Scope Of Work
Located in the Merkert Chemistry Center, this project involved the renovation of lab space including the installation of thirthy-eight fume hoods. The project was completed on an extremely compressed schedule during the College’s summer break. Mitigating construction impacts such as noise, dust and vibration to adjacent occupied labs was of critical concern. The lab renovation consisted of new laboratory benches, casework, epoxy flooring and new interior finishes throughout. The MEP systems were entirely upgraded and expanded, including new ductwork, plumbing, gas, and fire protection systems as well as upgraded electrical systems.
