Scope Of Work

The Pearson Organic Chemistry Laboratory is a discovery based laboratory that introduces students to combinatorial chemistry. The 8,500 SF project comprised three floors and  required the conversion of existing labs, offices and student spaces into a new laboratory space while the building remained fully occupied and functioning. Extensive changes to the building’s mechanical systems included installation of a new heat recovery system and were performed around the building users’ schedules. New laboratory equipment and furnishings consisted of fume hoods, teaching fume hoods, lab casework, benches, bio-safety equipment, resinous laboratory countertop and lab gases. This complex phased renovation project was completed on an expedited basis without disruption to ongoing academic and research functions.
